Plus Size Corsets

Anyone know the best kind of "sucker" that i can wear under a dress to give me a nice shapely look that is reasonably priced? it must come in plus sizes. thanks

Try Fredricks of hollywood they have some plus sizes and they are always having a sale. Or torrid, torrid is a store for plus sized women. The have an online store so you can order them off the internet if you don’t have a store nearby. I got kinda like a girdle type thing fron walmart when I was in my sisters wedding. I wanted my tummy to look flat in the dress and I was only gonna use it once so I was cheap. It was only 5 or 6 bucks.

Just like everything in the world, a corset has its ups and downs. On the plus side, it can minimize the size of your waist, depending on how tight you lace the corset. On the downside, it can be very uncomfortable.

Corsets are great and give your curves and puppies an extra ompf. Luv wearing them.

While they are a bit restrictive they shouldn’t be painful or uncomfortable. A properly fitted corset should feel like a good overall hug. There should never be any tight spots, If there are then the corset is too tight, the wrong style for your body or have not been worn in properly.

One thing that you need to do with a new corset is that it has to be worn in. Initially tighten the corset so that it is firm not tight. Wear for a couple of hours and then tighten a little more. Keep repeating this process over 2 or three days until the desired snugness is achieved. This allows the stitching in the corset to take the pressure evenly, protecting your purchase, and also allowing the corset and boning to mould to your body giving a great overall comfortable snug fit. Remember that the corset needs to be pleasurably snug with the pressure evenly taken over the body. It should feel like a tight embrace or firm hug, there should be no tight spots.

Good luck and remember don’t over tighten the laces.

I have bought my dress and i am dieting and trying to loose weight but i don’t think i will be able to loose it all in 2 1/2 months. I have a DD bra size and then my stomach is really big and drops. I need something that is going to kinda hold me in and make me not look so horrible. I already have to have them add more dress to my top because my bust is too big. The back is just ribbon but it is not all the way down and it does have a fabric piece that can go over it if it comes all the way up my back. Also, It is strapless. They don’t carry plus sizes at the bridal shop either. Any help is AWESOME. I also have no idea what size i need. I wear a 26-28 shirt though.

Well, you could go to http://www.castlegardencreation.com and get a corset. The quality is extremely high, and the most comfortable bodices and corsets I’ve ever worn. It sounds like you’re the same size as I am. Maybe a size smaller. Definitely the same cup size.

Torrid also has some lovely corsets for us plus sized gals, though I don’t know if they’d work well underneath a wedding gown.

I don’t have many shoe options: Converse, ballet flats, combat boots, and wedges.

Shirts are endless for me: tanks, t-shirts, sweaters, corsets, etc.

Can you give me any suggestions about what would look cutest or what might give me a slimmer silhouette or anything?

Try http://www.snaz75.com. They are a shoe store that carry alot of boots – alot of them are stripper type boots but, there is alot of the thicker sole (all the way around the boot like a platform) In alot of nice styles and colors.

so im not very into wearing lingerie because im almost plus size, i know sounds weird like i dont fit into plus size tops but i have a big but and big thighs ne way its my husband and mines 1 year Anniv. and i bought the fredericks hollywood dream corset in red but i dont know what to wear on the bottom i don think the thigh highs with the garters would look good cuz my thighs are big so do you have any ideas? btw this is the first time ive reall ever gotten dressed up for him and its a complete surprise. also if i did end up wearing the thigh highs with the garters do i have to buy special thigh highs made to wear with garters or do u just clip them on the front and back of any kind?
